  "The human figure in this sculpture has become more animal-like by being on all fours. He has adorned himself with a primitive deer mask and by doing so he takes on the many qualities of the deer. His long wood antlers, like antennae, make him alert, cautious and very aware of all that surrounds him. He has awakened as the deer."
